Helen "Jean" Harrison, 79, of Wilmington, NC, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Silver Stream Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 15, 1935 in Wilson, NC, the daughter of the late Hiram Hare and Mary Magaline Rogers Hare. Also remembered is a brother, Earl Hare and a sister, Mary Alcox, both of who preceded her in death. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband, Cecil B. Harrison and her son, Kash Lee Harrison of the home; a special sister, Pauline Hare of Wilson, NC; a niece, Diana Tew and husband Grant of Little Washington, NC; and two sisters-in-law, Joanna Walston and Becky Cecil. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am Thursday at Freedom Baptist Church in Wilmington. A graveside committal will follow at 2:30 pm Thursday in Evergreen Cemetery in Wilson, NC.
