He was born on March 13, 1940 in Spring Hope, NC. The son of Henry Clayton Williams and Ruth Lamb Williams of Spring Hope, NC.
He served in the United States Army and has always been an active car enthusiast.
Clayton worked for Thurston Motor Lines, Inc. during and after graduating from Chowan College. He started his own trucking company in 1973 and was always active in the industry. He was a member of the Scottish Rights Order and member of the Wilmington Shrine Club.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Holland Williams and one son Henry Clayton Williams, III both of Wilmington, NC
The family will receive visitors from 5-7PM on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Andrews Valley Chapel, 1408 S. College Rd.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM, Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Andrews Valley Chapel.
Honorary Pallbearers are Timothy Carroll, Terry Crouch, TJ Schedler, David Heustess, Justin Connelly, Jimmy Hammonds and Gary Garst.
Committal services will be private.
