He was the son of the late Herbert Dickie Grasper Ganey and Mary (Bissett) Ganey.
He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Dickie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Juanita (Justice) Ganey, son Daniel Ganey and daughter-in-law Christina. Sisters: Patty Kye, Lois Walter and husband Paul, brother John Ganey and wife Patsy. Beloved grandchildren: Zack, Chris, Bree, Alyssa and Wrenlee Ganey and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his Sisters: Carolyn Ritterbusch and husband Roy, Joyce Rabon and husband Landis.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm, Monday, November 10, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1361 Old Fayetteville Rd. NE, Leland, NC 28451. Officiating the service will be Darren Shipman.
