Herbert L. Reeves "Buckeye", 60, of Delco, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born November 9, 1954, in Wilmington, NC, to the late Herbert T. and Sylvia M. Reeves. Herbert proudly served his country as a sergeant in the US Army. He was an avid outdoorsman with a strong passion for deer hunting and he loved his grandchildren dearly. Survivors include his children, Chris Reeves and wife Paula of Lake Waccamaw and Carrie Malpass and husband Matt of Rieglewood; grandchildren, Auldon Reeves and Dylan and Christian Malpass; brothers, Cecil Reaves, Tom Reeves and Travis Reaves and sister, Debbie Hordych. The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm, Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Prosper Baptist Church in Delco. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennie Lynn Reeves. After 10 long years apart, they are together again in Heaven.
