Herman Shepard Herring Jr.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Elizabeth Chadwick Herring Kornegay and father Hermon S. Herring Sr.

He was survived by his wife Brenda Stokley Herring; two sons Hermon (Gregory) Herring and Brian Duncan Herring; five grandsons William (Brantley) Herring, Timothy (Kirk) Herring, Dillion Cole Herring, Ian Duncan Herring, and Aiden Rae Herring; two daughters-in-law Cristi Atkinson Herring and Kristina Rae Herring; along with an aunt and uncle, Aurther Chadwick and Lovey Lanear.

The family will receive friends at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, September 6, 2012, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 11:00am at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, send donations to Community Home Care and Hospice, 117 Village Road, Leland, North Carolina.
