Hiram Eugene Pierce

Hiram Eugene Pierce, 69, died Monday, January 2nd, 2012 at New Hanover regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. He was married to Joyce Elizabeth Alford Pierce who preceded him in death. and leaves his son, Michael Eugene Pierce, his son David Ryan Pierce and wife Nikki Buchanan Pierce, his grandsons David Michael Pierce, Alexander Eugene Pierce deceased, Layne Bennett Pierce, Brennen Dare Pierce, his brother Edgar Billy Pierce and wife Dorothy Dot Pierce, and his sister Patricia Ann Bass and husband Adrian Shady Bass, numerous nieces and nephews, and many close friends. Eugene was born and raised in Wilson County, NC and attended Lee Woodard High School Class of 1960. Eugene was in the FFA, Class Vice-President, and played Basketball, Baseball, the Glee Club, and was voted ""Best All-Around."" He was the son of Agnes Carroll Pierce deceased and Hiram Edgar Pierce deceased. Eugene moved to Wilmington, NC in 1973 and was the Foreman at Wicks Lumber Company, Pelican Builders, and later Builder's First Source. He was a member of Moose Lodge # 343 and was the Past Governor, and had earned his Fellowship Degree. The funeral is Saturday 1100 AM January 7th 2012 at the Andrews Funeral Home at the corner Market and 17th street. Visitation is at the same location on Friday January 6th from 6 pm to 8 pm.
