In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Lanier.
Howard graduated from New Hanover High School in 1968. He went to work with a sign company in Wilmington, which went through several name changes and he retired from Fairway Sign Co. in 2013. Howard, at the time of his death, worked for Jeff Gordon Chevrolet. He loved his coworkers and had many long time friends.
He leaves behind 2 special feline friends/family, Dasher and Ms. Priss. H.T. will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
A memorial service for Howard will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lower Cape Fear Lifecare or Friends of Felines.
