Ina Newton Taylor May

Ina Newton Taylor May died December 10, 2011 in Raleigh, NC at the Rex Convalescent Care Center. She was born on September 7, 1919 in Kenansville, NC the daughter of the late Early Carr and Emily Frances Newton. She was preceded in death by her husbands James A Taylor, Sr. And Harold May. Surviving are her children J. Allen Taylor Jr. and wife Andrea Mobley Taylor of Raleigh NC and Stephen Carr Taylor and wife Elizabeth Gournas Taylor of Blue Springs, Missouri; grandchildren Todd Taft Taylor and wife Kathy of West Kingston RI, Laura Jordan Hamblen and husband Scott and Viktor Cyrus Jordan and wife Sarah all of Blue Springs MO; great grandchildren Nicole Marie Taylor, Walker Riley and Madison Elizabeth Hamblen, and Scarlett Lucine and Aurora Camden Jordan. She was a graduate of Kenansville High School, class of 1936 and James Walker Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1939. Her nursing career spanned 42 years. Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Wilmington on Thursday, December 22 at 2PM conducted by the Rev. Dr. Samuel D Zumwalt. Visitation will be at the church at 1 pm.
