Ira Kenneth Pittman, 86, of Wilmington passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at home. He was born on September 21, 1928 in Kenly, NC to the late Harvey and Betty Pittman. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Anne Pittman, children; Della Allen and husband Bryan of Pittsboro, NC, Teresa Rector of Wilmington, Ken Pittman of Jacksonville, Florida, Linda Vescovi and husband Peter of Wilmington, Jeannie Lyndon and husband David of Bailey, NC, grandchildren; Alexander Allen, Spencer Vescovi, Chelsa Williams, Emory Lyndon, James Lyndon, Louis Lyndon, Garrett Pittman and Jessica Pittman; brother, Van Pittman of Bricktown NJ and a special daughter Beth Bowen. He served his county honorably in the United States Army. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Seagate Baptist Church. Burial will be 11am Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Stantliff-Faulkner Family Cemetery in Lambsburg, VA.
