James Francis Liddy

James Francis Liddy, 82, of Wilmington, NC, passed away at home on Thursday, January 19, 2012. He was born in Des Moines, IA, June 15, 1929, son of the late Jerry P. Liddy and Mabel Hanna Kingkade Liddy. Mr. Liddy was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed in the printing industry for over forty years, retiring from R.R. Donnelly Printing. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Hampstead, NC. Mr. Liddy is lovingly remembered by his family as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving is his wife, Mary Ann Howell Liddy; children, Deborah A.L. Rosmus and husband Stephen of Fairhaven, VT, Michael James Liddy of Des Moines, IA, Dennis R. Liddy of Key West, FL, and Cheryl J.L. Carter and husband Chuck of Hampstead, NC; four granddaughters, Emily Grethel and husand Jeremy of West Henrietta, NY, Allison Rosmus of Lebanon, NH, Cassandra Carter and Caitlyn Carter, both of Hampstead, NC; a grandson, Patrick Liddy of Des Moines, IA; and a sister, Marian Hibbs. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Hampstead, NC, by the Rev. John Durbin.
