James Weaver "JW" Swartz , 97, of Kure Beach, NC passed away November 15, 2012 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC. JW was born in Pratt, WV July 8, 1915 to Jefferson W. Swartz and Virgie Mae Massey Swartz. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Priscilla, and his parents. He is survived by his children Jim Swartz and wife, Sandy, and Mike Swartz and wife Carlene, both of Wilmington NC; Four grandchildren Joyce Ingrahm (Ben), Shawn Swartz (Michele) of Wilmington, NC; Michele Garcia (John) of Alamagordo, NM, and J. Walter Swartz of Woodbridge, VA; Three step-grandchildren Christina Ivins(Larry), Amy Middleton (Steve),John Craemer; great -grandson John Garcia, great -granddaughters Jordan Ivins, Baileigh Middleton, Ainsley Middleton, and Abigail Middleton. A memorial service will be held Sunday, 18 Nov 2012, 1pm at Andrews Valley Chapel, Wilmington, NC.
