He was born on February 15, 1951, the son of the late James Flerbit Tidwell, Jr. and Iris Faye Jarrell Tidwell. Also remembered is a sister, Constance Williamson and her husband Bernard of Sparta, KY, both who also preceded him in death.
Surviving is a brother, Charles Tidwell and wife Denise of Ft. Myers, FL, a sister, Karen DeFanti and husband Louis of Camden, SC; his three daughters, Jamie, Aimee and Hailey of Macon, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
James was a veteran of the US Army having served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He worked at the US Postal Service for many years in Wilmington, NC.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Bellevue Cemetery in Wilmington, NC.
