JAMES HAROLD WOOD James Harold Wood, 59, of Rocky Point, NC, died Friday, June 12, 2009 at his residence. He was born on December 16, 1949, in Winston-Salem, NC, the son of Addie King Wood and the late Alvis Lester Wood. Harold enlisted in the Army in August of 1969, and was deployed to Vietnam in December where he spent 13 months. Surviving in addition to his mother are three children, Jason and Tereza Wood of Yokosuka, Japan and their daughter, Joanna Mariz Gamit Wood, James ""Harley"" Wood of Holly Ridge, NC, Daniel and Charly Wood of Thomasville, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Gibb Gray of Surf City, NC; niece, Priscilla Shepard of Surf City, NC; and very close friends, Becky and Fritz Lenker, ""Doc"", Bill Bain and many others. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Topsail Humane Society.
