

Janice moved to Wilmington in 1956, she loved both Wilmington and the beaches. Employed by American Standard Corporation, she loved traveling the world with her daughter Phyllis Hodges, especially to Hong Kong, Australia and Europe. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. Nothing suited her better than to spend time with her grandson. They enjoyed many trips together both in the mountains and on the beach.
She was spunky and so full of life. She will be missed by many and remembered by all with love and fond memories.
She is survived by her daughter Phyllis Hodges, grandson Michael Collins, daughter-in-law Terryl Hodges Rushing of Jackson MS, sister Ernestine Reynolds of Dry Fork, VA and her loving chihuahua Tinkerbell.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hodges, husbands Daniel Hodges and Armando Garcia, parents Giles and Jessie Ramsey, brother Harold Ramsey, sister Bernice Long, and Marion Marlowe.
Graveside ceremony will be held at 10:30. Janice will be in the mausoleum in Greenlawn Memorial Park from 9:30 until the graveside service at 10:30 Saturday, October the 22nd. Friends and family are welcome.
