Jay Bryan King

Jay Bryan King, 91, of Wilmington, NC, died Thursday, November 08, 2012, at Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove. He was born in Cane River, NC, son of the late William Nelson King and Ida Elizabeth Edwards King. His wife, Ila Marie Stevens King passed away, April 21, 2010. Mr. King was an agent and manager for Life of Virginia for over thirty years. He was a member of Masonboro Baptist Church and honorably served in the United States Army during World War II. Surviving is a son, Jay Ronald King and wife Johanna of Wilmington; grandchildren, Kimberly King Taylor, Curtis Bryan King and wife Jamie, and Micah Jay King; and great-grandchildren, Sarah Christina King, Andrew Bryan King, Ellie Renee King, Elijah Christopher King, and Hannah Treasure Taylor. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2012, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel with Dr. Gordon Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour.
