She was born in Raleigh, NC, on June 2, 1947, to the late Albert and Josephine Thompson.
She grew up in Garner, NC and lived there until 1981. She relocated to the Wilmington area upon the death of her father to be near her only sibling. She loved flowers, the color purple, ELVIS!, word search puzzles, soap operas and talking! She was a sweet and special lady who will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Adrian Lee, Sr.; sister, Mary Alice Thompson (formerly Massengill); nephew, Dennis Pearce (Sletta); nieces, Wendy Willis (Mark) and Christie Hooper (Chris) and numerous other cousins and great nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Andrews Market Street Chapel.
The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
