Jeanette King Smith

Jeanette King Smith, 91, of Wilmington, NC, went to join her Savior on Monday, April 8, 2013. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, William F. & Mary Mallard King; her husband, L.C. Smith; one daughter, Cozzette Smith; great grandson, Corey Watters; two brothers, William F. King Jr., Thomas M. King and three sisters, Jane Thornton, Florence Woodbury and Betty Jean King. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Mary Faulk, and her son, Davie Smith (Sherry); her brother, Bobby King (Maxine). Grandchildren, Kenny Smith (Donna), Clay Smith, Wendy Robinette (Dwayne), Brian Faulk (Leslie), Dennis Faulk (Melinda), and Tiffany Smith. Great-grandchildren, Brooke Smith, Catelyn Smith, Kara Watters, Madison Smith and Lindsey Faulk. Great-great- grandchildren, Shaniya and J.C. Smith, Callie Watters and Harmony Smith. Jeanette was a charter member of Pine Valley Baptist Church. She shared many special times with her loving church family. She was also an active member of the Light Keepers of Harbor United Methodist Church. Jeanette loved the Lord. She treasured her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her dear friends and church family. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at Pine Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Love, III and Dr. Glenn Bohanan officiating. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jeanette's memory to Pine Valley Baptist Church, 3940 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28403 or to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515.
