After his military service, Jimmy embarked on a new chapter of his life, building a loving family with his beloved wife Cheryl. Their marriage was a true testament to love and commitment, spanning 43 years of shared joys, challenges, and unwavering support for one another. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Jimmy was a devoted father to his two daughters, Christina and Courtney. He imparted his values of honor, integrity, and kindness to his children, shaping them into strong, compassionate individuals. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and provided them with unwavering support and guidance throughout their lives.
In his free time, Jimmy found solace and joy in pursuing his passions. He had an undying love for the outdoors and spent countless hours fishing and hunting, appreciating the beauty of nature. Jimmy was also a talented guitarist, finding comfort and expression through his music. His fingers danced across the strings, creating melodies that resonated with the hearts of those around him. He particularly enjoyed playing country music, a genre that touched his soul and reflected his deep-rooted connection to his heritage.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Coble Funeral Home in Wilmington, NC, on Sunday, June 18th. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects to a remarkable man who touched so many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Veterans Memorial Reef.
