She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Wilson and her son, Michael Wilson.
Survivors include her daughters, Pat Morgan and Linda Callahan. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will take place at 11am, Friday, June 10, 2016, at Wilmington National Cemetery. A reception will follow at the family residence.
The family would like to thank Ayanna, Lisa and all of the Amedisys Home Health Care staff for the comfort and concern shown to Joan and her family.
