John Leslie Ganey

He was born in Southport, NC on April 24, 1939, son to the late John Thomas Ganey and Ophelia Lewis .

He is also preceded in death by sisters; Iris Robertson and Janice Horvath; brothers; Chris Lewis and Dolan Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ganey of the Home; daughter, Vicky Ganey and her fiancé Jay Joyner of Wilmington, NC; 3 sons; John Leslie Ganey, Jr. and his wife Buffy of Leland, NC, Ronald Wayne Austin and his wife Tara of Nokesville, Va. and Aaron Shay Austin and his wife Amber of Holly Ridge, NC; sister, Sherrill Howard of Hampstead, NC; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews- Loved by all.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
