

Jack was born August 31, 1930, in Boston, MA, to the late John H. Milliken and Alice Kappler Milliken.
He proudly served 18 years in the US Army Special Forces and as a Green Beret during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was the recipient of many medals including the Bronze Star. Jack retired from General Electric and went on to volunteer at NHRMC for many years. He was a member of Seaside Chapel and a true “Boston Bean” who loved to watch the Red Sox and Patriots play.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Alice Padgett Milliken and a sister, Claire Milliken Sullivan.
Survivors include his son, Kevin Patrick Milliken and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Karlie Cheyann Milliken and Hayle Montana Milliken; sister, Carol Milliken Junkins; many special nieces and nephews and all his girls at the Sawmill Restaurant.
A memorial service will be held at 4pm, Monday, June 13, 2016, at Andrews Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Rd., Wilmington, NC.
The family will receive visitors one hour prior beginning at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s name to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
