He was born to Fred and Betsy Little on February 18, 1960, in Wilmington, NC and was the youngest of four children.
John was born with kidney issues. His illness and subsequent surgeries caused him great pain throughout his life.
Jonn was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Carolina Yacht Club. He graduated from New Hanover High School in 1978 and attended UNCW before becoming a private pilot. He enjoyed sailing, cycling, racquetball and relaxing on the beach. He hiked the Appalachian Trail, loved The Andy Griffith Show and black cats.
His middle name is to honor his great-grandfather, P.R. Albright, who was mayor of Wrightsville Beach from 1908-1909 and general manager of Atlantic Coastline Railroad.
Survivors include his brother, Fred E. Little, III (Tobie); sisters, Meredith Little Hall (Vic) and Lizabeth Havington Little (Carter Sneeden); nieces and nephews, Kris Dorough (Alexis), Fred Little, IV (Kim), Barrett Little (Kate) and Leigh Pridgen (Alan).
