John Eldridge Mintz of Wilmington died Monday August 3, 2009 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born December 12, 1935 in New Hanover County N.C. son of the late Lorenzo Mintz and Susie Lewis Mintz. Mr. Mintz was owner operator of J.E. Mintz Plumbing Co. He was loving and caring to all and will be missed by his family and all that knew him. His enjoyment in life was his work and fishing. Surviving is his wife Betty Jean Mintz of the home, four daughters, Debra McKeithan and husband Richard, Susan Gore, Paula Wilson, Debra Frost and husband Don, sisters, Jane Howard and Barbara Gore, 9 grandchildren, Ashley Gore Meadows, Amber Gore, Jennifer Bennett, Candace Wood, Kevin McKeithan, Adam McKeithan, Glen Starcher, Eric and Zachary Garrison; and ten great grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be 6:30 to 7:30 pm Wednesday and at other times at home, 111 Sea Shell Lane, Wilmington. A memorial service will be 7:30 pm Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
