John Hearn Rawlings, 57, of Wilmington, passed away April 25, 2010. John was born August 14, 1952, to the late Lenox and Gloria Thompson Rawlings, and was a native of Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Ingram Rawlings; two brothers, Lenox D. Rawlings III of Greensboro, and Russell Rawlings and his wife Kim of Holly Springs; sister, Ann Thompson Rawlings of Raleigh; niece, Jennifer Karabin of Wilmington; nephew, Barak Karabin and his wife Cookie of Greensboro; and his beloved dog, Thatcher. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Global River Church 4702 South College Rd., Wilmington, NC 28412. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Global River Church Building Fund.
