John Paul Reilly, age 91, died Friday January 4 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC. Mr Reilly was employed as an engineering technician at the General Motors Tech center in Warren, Michigan for 30 years before his retirement in 1982. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, an avid fisherman, a member of Good Sams camping club and a long time resident of Royal Oak and Lake, Michigan.
Mr Reilly was born March 11, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to John Paul and Mabel Reilly who proceeded him in death. He was married for 52 years to Johanna Helena Brand Reilly prior to her death. A daughter Linda Marie Reilly also proceeded him in death.
Surviving are, Diane Clark (daughter) and husband Martin Clark; Karen Autry (daughter) and husband Herschal Autry; 2 grandchildren, Daniel and Nathan Clark and 3 great grandchildren, Brandon, Annette and Reilly Clark.
Burial will be in Roseland Park cemetery in Berkley, Michigan. A celebration of John's life will be scheduled at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Listening Ear in Harrison, Michigan or your charity of choice.
