John Richardson Schenck, Jr.

He was born March 24, 1935, and raised in Charlotte, NC, son of the late John Richardson, Schenck, Sr. and Sara Moody Schenck. After graduating Myers Park High School, Joh attended UNC Chapel Hill and graduated with a Business Administration degree in 1957. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 1962, with his Master’s in Business  Administration. He pursued his career in textile sales.

John, (Dick as he was known early in life) is survived by his wife, Carol Clark Schenck, her  two children, Bernard Jefferson "Jeff" Morris, Jr. and his wife, Jill Painter Morris, and Elizabeth Ann "Lisa"  Morris Dozier and her husband, William Harris Dozier, Jr. He also had  4 grandchildren, Carol "Clark" Dozier, William "Harris" Dozier, III,  Ann "Mackenzie" Morris, and Haiden "Trigg" Morris.

In addition to his parents and he is also preceded in death by his two children, son, John Richardson Schenck, III and daughter, Neel Mackey Schenck.

John was an avid golfer and loved UNC Basketball and Football. He also enjoyed volunteering with the Guardian Ad Litem Program. In lieu of flowers, and because of John’s love of all dogs, donations can be made to the New Hanover Humane Society
