He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Elsie B. Sikes; daughter, "Amy" Amanda Sikes; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00am at Coble Ward-Smith, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm in the Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Boulevard, Wilmington, NC 28412.
