Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Zella Caines Harris and his wife, Sylvia Avery Harris.
Surviving him are his daughter, Susan Harris; 2 grandsons, Brandon Barton and Armani Hands, and a sister, Mary Reeves.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington.
