Joseph loved the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting and fishing. He was fond of dogs, and absolutely adored his two poodles, Honeybabe and Fezz. Joseph was also a proud member of the Holly Ridge Town Board for a period of time.
He is survived by his sister, Ann Norris, and his son, Troy Edwards. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hines Edwards, and son, Joseph “Joey” Edwards, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time. Interment will occur immediately after at Sea Lawn Memorial Park, located directly next to the funeral home.
