Joseph Mark Kimsey

Joseph “Joe” Mark Kimsey, 66, of Alexis, NC, passed peacefully on June 17, 2026. He was born to the late Mark and Mary-Ruth Kimsey in Atlanta, GA. Joe spent years dedicated to the airline industry before retiring after 45 years. He enjoyed being on the water, fishing, and music, especially Merlefest.

Joe is survived by his partner, Jewel Jones; one son, Jacob Kimsey and wife Tiffany, six grandchildren (Jayden, Jailyn, Lucas, Leila, Lawson, and Tate) and two great-grandchildren (Raelynn and Journi). He will be deeply missed.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
