Joseph Feldman Layman

Passed away on March 5, 2019

Mr. Joseph Feldman Layman, age 74 of Wilmington died Tuesday, March 5, 2019. He was born December 10, 1944 to Joseph S. Layman and Naomi Feldman Layman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters: Andrea Layman Shiffrin and Cathie Layman Leete.

Mr. Layman was a graduate of St. Luke’s and Southern Methodist University. He also owned his own business, Layman & Associates. He had the best smile and the loudest laugh in the room and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Anne Shirtz Layman; sons: Michael Arnold and wife Christina of Virginia Beach and Joshua Arnold of Miami Florida; granddaughter, MiCayla Arnold; brother-in-law Bill Leete and wife Gerry of Connecticut and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to ASPCA.org or the pet charity of your choice. He loved his dogs!

We have so many memories - from St. Luke's days to our last breaking of bread and class reunions. Yes, his smile was broad and laugh profound. Annie, our heart felt condolences to you and the whole family. I'm sorry that we missed the chance to break bread last month on our trip to SC.
