Joseph Edward Pierce, 72, of Hampstead passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at home. He was born on April 11, 1940 in Wilmington to the late Edward James and Margie Florence Pierce. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Pierce; son Donald of Hampstead; daughter Debbie Vince Sholar of Rocky Point; daughter Robin Joe Boyd of Hampstead. Six grandchildren; Alex Sara Sholar, Aaron Sholar, Jason Pierce, Aaron, Jessica, and Jared Boyd. Two brothers; June Pierce of Maple Hill and Archie Pierce of Hampstead. One sister, Alice Best of Greenville, NC. He was preceded in death by seven siblings. The family will receive friends Monday, July 9, 2012, at 11am at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead, NC followed by a Memorial Service at 12pm. Funeral services will be officiated by Elder Stacy Pierce and Elder Aubrey Pierce. Interment will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park.
