Joyce C. Davis

    April 6, 1931 – April 22, 2023

Joyce Carter Davis, 92, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare. 

Joyce was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina and was the daughter of Jim and Eudelle Carter.   She attended Goldsboro High School and Women’s College for Business in Greensboro, North Carolina.  

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She taught in the New Hanover County School System and at Calvary Learning Center.

Joyce is survived by husband, William R. Davis, Jr. and daughters, Nan Davis (Stuart), Elaine McAdams, great granddaughters, Alysha and Kenzie Davis and her brother James Harrell Carter.  She was predeceased by a grandson Stuart W. Davis, Jr., and son-in-law George T. McAdams.

There will be a Graveside Service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 26 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Boulevard, Wilmington, NC, 28412.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC, 28401.
