

She was born in Robersonville, NC on June 24, 1932, daughter of Jesse and Neva Bell Ayers.
Ms. Williams was an active member of Pine Valley Baptist Church. She retired from UNC- W in 1989.
She joined an Airstream Travel Club. She joined Roving Volunteers in Christ Service (RVICS) and traveled throughout the US donating time and labor to Christian organizations for 6 years. She also spent 3 years with Baptist Home Mission Board and 15 years as a volunteer at NH Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by husbands Harry C. Jackson and Berry A. Williams, sister Christine Ayers, step-brother Sonny James and step- father, Carlton James.
Surviving are step-son H.C. “Jack” Jackson and wife Linda; step-daughter, Ann Shields; grandson, James Harris and wife Sherri; great grandsons Andrew and Joseph Harris ; sisters, Shelby Hunter and Annel Boyer , sister-in-law Sarah James, nephews; Wayne and Troy Council; nieces, Dr. Meg Brummer, Amy Prince and Jane Hamdolloh.
A graveside service for the family will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Brian Blackwell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association or your favorite charity.
