Judith Naomi Jones King

Judith Naomi Jones King, 79, of Wilmington left us to be with the Lord on Thursday November 22, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Judy was born October 5, 1933 in Warsaw, NC to the late Farmer Harris and Ernestine Quinn Jones. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. King and six sisters and two brothers. Judy is survived by two daughters, Faye Rubinson (Ken) of Bethesda, MD, and Barbara Brown (Drew) of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren, Laura and Emily Rubinson, April, Mary and Matthew Brown. She leaves behind many other family members and friends who will dearly miss her. Judy was employed by Hughes Brothers for 43 years. She was a faithful member of Wesley Memorial UMC, the Wesley Fellowship Class and the Farrar-Higgins Circle. Judy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a caring friend and an avid Tarheel fan. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm, Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 26, 2012 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wesley Memorial UMC, 1401 S. College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403. The family wishes to thank her doctors and the 4th floor staff at NHRMC for their wonderful care. They also wish to thank her sitter Janelle who was a wonderful friend and companion during her last few months at home.
