Julie was predeceased by her parents, Roger Otis Weeks and Judith Ann Zwicker Weeks and one brother, Terry Roger Weeks.
Julie is survived by her husband, Scott Kornacki; two siblings, Thomas Weeks, David Weeks and their spouses, and Terry Weeks’ widow, Elizabeth.
Her story will live on through her children, Jesse Ortt and Sarah Ortt, along with 4 grandchildren, Anna, Jeffrey, Kaela and Gabriel; as well as many extended family members.
Julie was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, and a good friend to many.
In the past, Julie loved to work in her yard, she especially enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She also spent many years working in the hotel/motel industry.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Life Care Hospice, Wilmington.
Memorial services will be private.
