Kadance Caroll West

Kadance was born with a congenital heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot. Chapel Hill children’s Hospital became home and family to this feisty, starry-eyed beauty. Kadance loved elephants and Johnny Cash music.

Though Kadance’s heart beat to a different rhythm than the rest of the world, she never stopped smiling and giggling. Kadance received her wings to be with the other angels on December 17, 2015.

Kadance leaves behind two siblings, Zoe Lyford and E. Tyler West. Also many grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends she made along the way. Kadance was the epiphany of strength, love and goodness.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive in Wilmington.
