Katherine Marie Williams

She was born on May 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Thomas M. and Lucy Ann Johnson Overman. Also remembered is her husband, Daniel H. Williams, Jr.; a son, Charles Franklin Williams; a brother, Charles Overman; and a sister, Margaret Overman, all of whom preceded her in death.

Surviving are four children, Michael Glen Williams, Stephen Miles Williams, Katherine Belinda Bryant (Doug), and Deborah Ann Devane (Tim); seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express a special note of appreciation to Terry Leuck for all her care and love towards Marie and the family over the years.

Marie was a devoted wife and mother. She was an active member of Wrightsville Beach Baptist Church for many years where she also sang in the choir. Her faith was always shining through as a devoted servant of God. Marie was also an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, sewing baby blankets, baking cookies and cakes, and had a unique love for her shoe collection.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 13, 2025, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel with a graveside committal immediately following in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon prior to the memorial service.
