Kenneth M. Bush, Sr.

Kenneth M. Bush, Sr. Kenneth Merle Bush, Sr., 84, of Wilmington, died Sunday, September 11, 2011, at home. Ken was born March 22, 1927 in Union Springs, NY, son of the late William H. Bush and Catherine Woodal Bush. Two sisters, Catherine Shutter and June Stamp, and a brother, William H. Bush, Jr., preceded him in death. Mr. Bush proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers IBEW Local 1249. Ken was a family man who loved his five boys. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen Bush; five sons, Kenneth Bush, Jr. of Fullerton, CA, Richard H. Bush Sue of Lynchburg, VA, Paul F. Bush Sharon of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Douglas W. Bush Karen of Farmington, NY, and John J. Bush Jennifer of Leander, TX; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:00am Thursday, September 15, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Bob Kus officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken?s name may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
