Born in Chicago, IL on August 12, 1946, a son of the late Kenneth Robert Eaton, Sr and Mary Nell Eaton. He graduated from The Ohio State University's College of Education and later received his Masters in Education. His love of education led him into a career of teaching math, social studies, American history, world history, psychology and philosophy for 35 years in Coshocton, OH.
He was a member of Seaside United Methodist Church where he served, alongside his late wife, Mary Eaton, of 50 years, as a greeter, worked in the food pantry and helped with the county fair.
Always the optimist, he chose to seek out the positive in any situation, often finding humor even in the darkest of times.
Surviving are his daughter, Karen Gibney (Richard), son, Kyle Eaton (Kate), grandchildren, Drew Gibney, Derek Gibney, Shea Gibney, Airlie Mae Eaton and Finley Eaton. His grandchildren loved to call him Grandpa Beach.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.
