Born on December 16, 1944, in Wilmington, Larry was a lifelong resident of the community he proudly called home. He dedicated many years of hard work to Mechanical Plant Services before retiring.
Larry’s greatest joy in life was his soulmate, Elaine. Together they shared a deep bond and many cherished memories. He was a loving father to Al Hobbs and Timothy Hobbs and took great pride in his family.
A man of deep faith, Larry loved his church, Silver Lake Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a Deacon. His church family was very important to him, and he lived his life guided by his strong Christian values. He was also a proud member of the Tileston Alumni, maintaining connections and friendships that meant so much to him over the years.
Larry also had a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Ziva, who brought him companionship and joy. He enjoyed dining at Rucker Johns Restaurant, where the staff took wonderful care of him and made him feel right at home.
Larry will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to his faith and family, and the life he built in Wilmington. He leaves behind family and friends who will miss him dearly.
