LaVerne La Marca Webb of Wilmington, NC died July 7th, 2013 surrounded by her family and friends.

Born July 1, 1945 (The Feast of St. Thierry) to the late Thomas E. La Marca and Ann Alice Fay, LaVerne is survived by her husband of 45 years David L. Webb, their son David, her brother Frank Bevenuto and their father Frank.

Having retired in 1997 from Fortiori, her Downtown Wilmington business, LaVerne dedicated the remainder of her life to the writing of children’s fiction and to her vocation as a loving and absolutely devoted wife and mother.

A funeral mass will be held at 10am, Friday, July 12th at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be private. Flowers may be sent to Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, 3915 Oleander Drive. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Foundation for AIDS Research.
