Lawrence Parker Bridger, 67, of Wilmington, NC, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bridger was born in Lumberton, NC on August 30, 1943, the son of the late Robert Craven Bridger Jr. and Dorothy Tyson Bridger. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Craven Bridger, III. Mr. Bridger graduated from Bladenboro High School and Wingate College. He worked for many years at Bladenboro Cotton Mill and later retired form CP&L. Surviving is his wife, Jean Sealey Bridger of Wilmington, NC; son, Lawrence Parker Bridger, II of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Jacqueline Bryant Bridger of Atlanta, GA; grandson, Beau Lockey Bridger; sister, Dorothy Bridger Freedland and husband, Irv of Wilmington, NC; three brothers, Frank Tyson Bridger and wife, Lynda of Raleigh, NC, George Richard Bridger and wife, Jean of Wilmington, NC, and David Quentin Bridger of Kure Beach, NC. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Pinecrest Cemetery in Bladenboro, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 176, Bladenboro, NC 28320.
