Linda Allred

She was born on February 15, 1943, in Valdese, NC, the daughter of the late Walter Holland Jones and Virginia Caroline Hight Jones.

Surviving is her son, Bill Palmer of Laurinburg, NC; a daughter, Cathy Madden of Wilmington, NC; a brother, Robert Jones of Greensboro, NC; three grandsons, Tyler Palmer of Charlotte, NC, Luke Madden of Wilmington, NC, and Patrick Madden of Wilmington, NC; and one granddaughter, Caroline Madden of Wilmington, NC.

Linda graduated from Thomasville High School in 1960 and then attended Catawba College. She spent her career at Peoples Federal Savings and Loan and BB&T in Thomasville, NC. She attended Unity United Methodist Church in Thomasville, NC before relocating to Wilmington, NC in 2008 where she spent time with her family and attended Wrightsville Methodist Church in Wrightsville Beach, NC. Linda had a passion for music and dancing and loved to shag. She loved to read and spend time with her family and her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Andrews Mortuary Market Chapel, 1617 Market St., Wilmington, NC, followed by burial in Oleander Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at Bluewater Grill at 4:00 pm.
