Lois Turner Everett

Lois Turner Everett, 82, of Wilmington, NC, died Monday, December 22, 2014 at Trinity Grove. She was born on December 8, 1932 in Columbus County, NC, the daughter of the late Grady R. and Charolette Ganey Turner. Also remembered is her husband of almost sixty years, William A. Everett Sr, who preceded her in death in 2009. Mrs. Everett was a member of Seagate Baptist Church and worked at Frontier Food To Go for thirty-seven years. She devoted most of her time to raising her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother to three generations, and sister. Mrs. Everett also loved to bowl. Surviving are four children, William (Bill) and wife Daphne of Wilmington, Grady and wife Nancy of Bainbridge, GA, Carl and wife Jackie of Charlotte, and Judy Swann and husband Chris of Wilmington; one brother, Grady D. Turner and wife Dianne of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, Michelle Greene, Bryan Everett, Tonya Elixson, Carl Everett, Richard Everett, Heather Maready, Lisa Pope and Christopher Swann; sixteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Brinson Powell. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm with Rev. Elbert Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bryan Everett, Carl Everett, Richard Everett, Christopher Swann, Brandon Croom and Ryan Collins.
