Loraine Haynes Knotts

Loraine Pettus Knotts, 83, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February, 27, 2014. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Donald S. Knotts. Born in Charleston, WV, she was one of ten children to the late Marvin and Susie (Flint) Haynes.

She is survived by her devoted children, Robin Knotts (Sara) of Currie, Alan Knotts (Opal) of Leland, Steve Knotts (Michele) of Leland and Ruth Ferguson (David) of Evans, GA . She was the cherished grandmother of Brian, Kris, Kraig, Brittney and Matthew Knotts and Hannah and Rachel Ferguson, and great grandmother of six.

She was a member of Winter Park Baptist Church where her passion was singing in the church choir. She was the sweetest lady you would ever meet and never passed up the opportunity to share a hug. Her hugs will be greatly missed

The family would like to express their appreciation to her four wonderful caregivers, Carolyn Tew, Angela Bridges, Beverly Jacobs, and Jennifer Hardee. A special thank you to her Hospice Nurse, Tonya Brown and her beloved Doctor, James McCabe.

A visitation will be held Sunday , March 2, 2014 from 6-8pm at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, 3915 Oleander Dr. Funeral Service Monday, March 3, 2014 at 1pm at Winter Park Baptist Church, 4700 Wrightsville Ave., Wilmington.
