Born in Rose Hill, N.C. on November 14, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Jodie and Robert Ann Bradham. She met Robert C. Dagenhardt, her husband of 70 years, at the Wilmington USO in 1941. They later married and moved to Wisconsin after WWII. In addition to homemaking and raising four children she worked as a nurse’s aide and did secretarial work. Moving back to Wilmington during retirement presented the opportunity to be a 1000+ hour volunteer for the New Hanover Health Network and a docent at Latimer, a historical Victorian house in Wilmington. She was also a voracious reader, loved to walk, bowl and play cards with friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters Mary Lou Rivenbark, Josephine Lapacka, Hazel Schiwe and Helen Pomakis and brothers James, David and William Bradham.
She is survived by daughters Elizabeth Meyer, Victoria Kleinberg, Joanne Jones and son Robert C. Dagenhardt ll. Lucille is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A private service will be held. There will be no visitation and interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
