Lynwood Speedy Hugh Keith Jr.

Lynwood Hugh "Speedy" Keith, Jr. died November 15, 2011. He was born on January 31, 1947, in Pender County, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Lynwood Hugh Keith, Sr.; his wife Betsy Barber Keith, and daughter, Kimberly Jane Keith.

He is survived by his mother, Lessie Costin Carter; son, Danny Wayne Keith; Grandsons, Danny Wayne Keith, Jr. and Andrew Hugh Keith. Two brothers, Andrew Costin Keith and wife, Belinda and Jeffrey Carter and wife, Dawn. One sister, Linda Keith Carroll and husband, Robert.

Hugh and his business partner, Bubba Gore, owned and operated K&G Electric for 34 years in Wilmington, NC.

He attended Freedom Baptist Church.

Hugh was a devoted racing fan especially Nascar. He had owned and raced his own car in prior years.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at Coble Ward Smith Funeral Home on Oleander Drive from 6 to 8PM His funeral service will take place on 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Coble Ward Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
