Margaret Turley Rose

Margaret Turley Rose (Peggy) 92 passed away January 10, 2026 at the Davis Community in Wilmington, NC. Peggy was born on 3/2/33 in Dry Ridge, Kentucky to Gerald Lee Points and Virginia (Webb) Points. She was married to the love of her life Samuel Raymond Rose Jr for 57 years. Together they raised 4 children and built a home filled with love, laughter and commitment to each other. Her love and faith will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured.

Her smile lit up a room and she was always ready and willing to help family, friends and her community in anyway she could. She was an active member and volunteer at Hampstead UMC for over 35 years. She is remembered for her comforting hugs, home cooked meals and love for everyone she met. Peggy found immense joy in her roles as a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray and their daughter Susan Rose. Peggy is survived by her brothers, Gerald Points Il of Rocky Point, NC, Phillip Points of Lexington, KY and David Points of Mount Sterling, KY, her children Sam, Sandra Azary (Alex), (Shan), David (Ellen),   9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her family extends deep appreciation for the loving care of her caregivers at Champions Assisted Living and Lower Cape Fear Life Care Hospice.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 Saturday, February 7 at Hampstead UMC. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Hampstead United Methodist Church or CUREchildhoodcancer.org.
