Margaret Stevens Carter of Wilmington passed away on Thursday morning, March 28, 2013. She was born June 28, 1915 in Horry County, SC. Margaret was one of thirteen children of the late John Franklin Stevens and Georgia Mincey Stevens and was preceded in death by her siblings and husband, Joseph McDaniel Carter. Surviving is her daughter Billie Jean Phillips and husband, Wayne, of Wilmington, three grandchildren: Thomas Phillips of California, MD; Denise Kinney of Southport, NC; and Cassi Whitney and husband, Rob, of Wilmington, NC and one great granddaughter, Allyson Kinney. The family will receive friends Friday, March 29, 2013 from 7pm - 8pm at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11am Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
